Suitable varieties for dessert include;

BENS'RED 

A very pretty apple from Helston striped dark red in colour with russet dots, sweet in flavour, flat in shape . Season 2nd early to mid-season.

BEAUTY OF BATH  SOLD OUT

Not a cornish variety but common in Old Cornish Orchards, heavy cropping & fairly acid taste although when fully ripe has plenty of sweetness. Flesh often stained pink under the skin.  A personal favourite of mine. Season early.

Box Apple  SOLD OUT

A sharp yellow fruit, juicy with lots of fruity flavour. Season 2nd early - mid.

Cornish Aromatic

Light green/yellow flushed orange red. Sweet aromatic & slightly spicy. A vigorous tree and a very attractive apple. Season late.

Cornish Gilliflower 

A well known Cornish variety, knobbly exterior conseals yellow perfumed flesh. Intensly flavoured with sweet & aromatic tones. Will need a warm spot to grow. Season late - very late.

Cornish Honeypin  

 A very sweet soft apple with a honey flavour, almost no acidity. Season 2nd - early.

Cornish Mother  SOLD OUT

Medium to large fruit, sweet, crisp and aromatic flesh. Tall in shape and very prolific. Highly recommended. Season mid. Ideal as a mothers day present.

Cornish Pine

Originates from Devon, but it has the right name. An apple with a pleasant pineapple flavour when stored for a month. Requires a well drained soil. Season mid.

Dessert Apple

A very nice crisp dessert apple from the old orchard at Cornish Garden Nurseries Perranarworthal, beautiful in taste and looking stunning on the tree. To be identified this year with luck .Season early

Longkeeper

A very hardy, disease resistant variety. Pale yellow fruit. Sub acid. Lovely flavour. Long season of use for fruit. Season mid - very late.

 Dark red, waxy in colour with pink tinged flesh. Sweet aromatic and fruity. Wait untill its fallen before eating. Very attractive bloom. A must in a orchard . Season early.

Spiced Pippin   SOLD OUT

A very rare variety. A medium sized apple with a very tangy flavour.More research to be done on this one.
